A wedding dinner
Hui chen was a former schoolmate of mine back in st mary. We haven’t kept in touch fr such a longtime until recently when I received her ‘RED ALERT’ invitation hahaha…I attended her wedding dinner lastnite at Kuching Prk hotel. The food was terrific, although I heard different perceptions on how tasteless the food was, not so delicious and so on. At 1st when I heard that kind of comments I felt, well okay… you are like being put to despair. On the contrary, few colleagues told me the food there was nice. The point here is sometimes we may have heard diverse point of views some negative some positive. Before we give in to any conclusion, we should let ourselves try it out instead. In the 1st place of course I would expect the food to be good or else I will end up complaining. There it was, I arrived at the venue at abt 7pm and waited 1 hr then only the ceremonial started. By that time, my tummy was drumming so noisily inside. Cant wait to taste the 1st dish. The environment was just like Sunday market. Full of chatters and each table had its own event going on. For me, it was a very typical dinner. Not that I discredit the honorable couple, it was the atmosphere I dnt really enjoy cos the interior setting wasn’t strategic. Too restricted and compressed I cant even move my chair when I need to take a lift. Nonetheless, the food was the most outstanding. I would rather the food be tasty than just to have a nicely package interior settings. Another thing was I don’ t find any fellowship with the couple becos my table was so far away from them. It was just like you do ur own I do my own, “kaki chor kaki, wa chiak pa du hor” kind of thingy. Anyway, I don’t really bother cos I was also so indulge with my frend chatting away. I admit that I was a very kiasu person in certain ways. Since every1 was so loud then I would speak even louder too! Hahaha… hey sometimes the ‘kiasu’ spirit is a good thing to be practiced. It depends on hw we apply it. In other term, ‘kiasu’ can be interpreted as ‘perseverance’ if we would put it into a positive way. Well, the wedding finally ended at 10 after all the dishes had been served. The weird thing was on my leading to the staircase a guest with a pair of cheeky eyes starred at me… in my heart was like shouting ‘YIKES’! Do you hav to give me that kinda LOOK?? The moment I noticed that, I don’t even want to pay attention to him… I dislike that pert face…eiksss eiksss eiksss eiksss! He makes me wanna throw up! DOH~
