My first week of teaching in Sept ’06…
I couldn’t believe that actually my timetable has reach up to 26 hrs of teachg in a week…oh man that was a crazy length! Compare to the previous sem I was teaching abt 20hrs a week and as for that I could hardly ever find time to prepare for each day’s lesson. But still this current length isn’t as bad as when I first enter the college which took up to 28-30 hrs of teaching a week. It was really exhausting and I was like mentally, physically tired throughout the whole semester + became very hot-tempered. This time ard, although I am teaching 5 subjects, 6 classes consists of the old and mostly new batches I really could tell that within the 1st week alone, I am quite hectic & tired but the amazing thg was God has given me extraordinary strength to overcome them. Knowing that my immune system isn’t good since I was a toddler and I could fall sick like once in 3months that kinda thing… until today God has bless me much in my health. I used to had a serious sinus I was too dependant on medication each time I was struck by it. I now no longer suffer from it. However my heartbeat seems to be very weak that’s what cause me not able to practice extreme sport or even run in long distance. I used to play badminton a lot when in primary but now im not able to play due to fatigue. It has been my language to say ‘tired’, ‘headache’ nonetheless I do still face tiredness but from time to time when I need energy & strength to teach I will say a litt’ prayer away asking God to give me strength and vigilance to speak in class. All together I have been teaching for abt 8 months+ and I can testify that I cant go on without a day pleading God to assist me 2enhance my teaching skills at the same time to mould my patience as I am a very short-tempered person. I can’t stand it if students like to act very slowly like the snail sliding on the rocks. I felt like forwarding their actions sometimes haha… what a cynical scene we had here… I wanna give all the glory to God again for holding me up firm wit His righteous hand that I could continue on this long-journey where He will always be there to guide me through till I reach the destination He has planned for me… Thank you, my Lord! For Christians working is the same as serving in ministry.
